Just messing around!
🙂
I belong to a great Meetup group here in Charlotte and about once a month they host a “Turn Up and Play” kind of event where anything goes…… Tonight I played with a Roller Derby Model as well as a little Still Life Art …….
Rather from one extreme to another, but hey, that’s what the Creative Lounge is all about!! Have camera ….. will have fun and push the boundaries ……!!!! Love! Gerbera—Perfect, just love the concept. OXOX M I like both of these, particularly the flower. Hard to believe that it’s almost 2 years since I visited Venice for Carnivale! And I am still trolling through the images I captured there and finding hidden gems. There’s something about the European spice for life, landscape and culture that is entrancing, be it Carnivale, or long winding cobbled streets, farmers markets, or afternoons sipping wine and just gazing off into the distance …. I’ll be off exploring the South of France in June ….. looking for those one of a kind moments, faces, places and experiences that you can only garner in real life (and not via You Tube!!!!) … Nothing like being in THERE and in the MOMENT ….. Perhaps you’d like to come photograph, photoshop, paint and play too? I love going through photos of my travel adventures and discovering mew ways to look at them.
Today DH and I took a break from house arranging and unpacking and set off for a bit of an outdoorsy photo adventure, hunting down some old abandoned buildings that formed part of a now disused reform school. It’s an amazing site, No Trespassing signs aplenty and for the most part we managed to stay within the confines of the law, sneaking peaks inside the old buildings with the aid of long lenses and some pumped up ISO. Amazing but also really sad to see these wonderful buildings being allowed to lapse into such a state of disrepair – especially considering the number of folk in this world who have no proper roof over their heads! … Though we did spy a pair of Buzzards making good use of the loft space in one house, so I suppose that might count!
How sad to see such a beautiful building in such a state.I imagine the wonderful family gatherings in days gone bye, babies born and children playing.A home full of laughter.Would love to return it to it’s former glory. Great building, sad indeed. These are all fabulous! So love photographing old abandoned buildings too! Gorgeous images, Marie! I can only hope you are scouting locations for a new workshop to photograph old abandoned buildings!!! I would jump at the chance. These B&W pics are just amazing. Have you ever posted on instagram! These photos are stunningly amazingly awesome and gorgeous. I’m slowly digging my way out of boxes an setting the new house to straights. After having done this already in the last 12 months, the second go around is less than appealing – the saving grace being we are moving into our OWN home! There was some bright light in the new mailbox though, …. A Gold and Silver Medal and a couple of Honorable Mention Ribbons from a Photography Competition I entered last year in Serbia. So more bling for the new studio wall – Yay!!! Congratulations on all that beautiful bling! I couldn’t be happier for you. Can’t imagine trying to move and all that goes with it, but looking forward to some photos of your new home once you’re settled! Fantastic!!!!!!!!! OXOX M Congratulations on the medals AND on making progress on getting things settled in your new home. Oh I can’t imagine moving… Congratulations on the bling, it’s well deserved. Serbia? |
