News and Nudes (not PG)

This Sunday saw DH and I make a mad dash across to the Carolina Coast for a little photography…  Bright blue sunny skies graced the world on one side and then on the other side of the island, massive thunderheads brewed up above…

Our main objective for going was to grab the opportunity to do a dawn beach shoot with a fine art nude model… images below – please note, they contain nudity!!

Getting the beach to ourselves meant an early rise of 0430am…. followed by a half hour drive to our location…
The effort was well worth it indeed… being blessed with glorious light, pristine sand and only the odd ‘wide-eyed’ fisherman for company!
Thanks Jamie Ann!

Catching Up

Busy times have been had over the last few weeks, teaching in California with Karen Burns and then heading across the pond to host a Fine Art Nude in the UK with Joan Blease.
Aside from the “work” element, there were some wonderful opportunities to shoot a few lovely models along the way…

blog_25-June-B-2015Beginning with the lovely Fredau Wallace…. both in the Studio and on location at Crosby.

blog_25-June-D-2015Then a touch of serendipity allowed me the chance to work with “Ivory Flame” – something I have wanted to do for quite a while and turned out to be quite the fabulous shoot….

blog_25-June-C-2015And tonight I’ve played with a couple of images in Corel Painter that were shot at a Medieval Faire at Tatton Park.

That’s about it for now and I hope the next post won’t be quite the same age in coming your way…..

A Wonderful Workshop at Donner Lake

blog_08_june_2015Karen Burns and I would like to thank all our wonderful students for participating in our workshop these past 4 days at Donner Lake, CA.
We managed to shoot some fine images whilst out and about and painted up a storm in the Classroom!

A super delicious part of the world indeed!
