Summer here in the Carolinas always heralds fields of golden sunflowers…. This year because of the lack of rain the fields are about half the height they were 12 months ago, but beautiful nonetheless… and definitely worth another early (6am) jump out of bed day to catch the wonderful morning light!  This Sunday saw DH and I make a mad dash across to the Carolina Coast for a little photography… Bright blue sunny skies graced the world on one side and then on the other side of the island, massive thunderheads brewed up above… Our main objective for going was to grab the opportunity to do […]  DH and I have enjoyed a lovely couple of days meandering around the Blue Ridge Mountains, from Saluda to Asheville across to Boone and Grandfather Mountain. Wonderful abandoned treasures to be found amidst the sparkling Spring Greens and stormy skies. |
