DH and I set off today in search of the Sunflower Fields at Draper in South Carolina. Not having been there before we were kind of navigating by nose to find them amidst the 800 acres that comprises this wildlife area. Turns out that we were a tad early with most of the fields being just in bud and not in bloom. Even so it was not a disappointing trip as the fishing ponds were pretty to photograph.
And there were a few early entries in the blossoming stakes….
Another week, maybe two and the fields will be AWESOME to photograph…. so a return trip is definitely on the calendar!
(Note to anyone thinking of visiting… be sure and wear good boots or sturdy footwear. There are lots of ants and probably other slithery things in the fields!)!!!
Micky - These are gorgeous, Marie!
joanne thieme huffman - Love the sunflowers you did get.
