Shades of Amber and Blue

blog_21_oct_2013

I’m finally back in Charlotte after a 2 hour drive from Strasbourg to Frankfurt and then a jolly old 9 hour plane ride with “US Scare”, enjoying (???) their less than lack lustre service and even less enjoyment with 50 minute queues to get through immigration.
I now get why they berate you about leaving your cell phone off or threaten you with death if you take pictures whilst in the immigration line  …Posted on FB it would be a total embarassment!  A hopeless testament to US efficiency indeed!
Especially given my trusty PINKY Red GB passport, where I swan through European cities without so much as a hiccup or blink.  Shame it can’t be the same for the country where I am supposed to call “home”!!
Just as well I don’t sport an ALIEN complex other than when I am travelling back to the States or trying to get my driver’s license!  UGH!

Anyhow, I am partially unpacked,  75GB of photos mostly downloaded and heading to bed to try and catch the 6 hours of the day that I am missing….. leaving you with a snap of a 5am sunrise in Slovenia…..

I can guarantee that I won’t be up that early tomorrow!!!!

See you later gators………………….

Joanne Thieme Huffman - Welcome back home. Beautiful photo. Hope you get lots of sleep.

Bren - Sounds like re-entry is the trickiest part of traveling! Amazing photo journey you’ve shared of this trip, love seeing and hearing about it

gotham girl - Welcome home! Can not wait to see more of your photos. What a trip! This one is beyond breathtaking! Reminds me of the Blue Ridge Mountains…
